It was also much discussion recently about a reduction in drinking water is 18. Apparently, one of the main arguments is that if someone is old enough to die for his country in war, when they should be old enough to drink. I know not to buy it. This article gives some reasons why I quite agree not buy this argument.

Let them drink more to reduce excessive alcohol. The motivation was - man increase the amount of alcohol before the “last call”, it is the same at a later date “last call”. Me seems that the end of your last call is still a last call, and I simply can not imagine how people drink more to reduce their levels of drinking. This is comparable to the explanatory statement, I read in favor of the proposal aimed at reducing alcohol consumption is 18.
